About Ms. Dwight

My name is Ms. Dwight and I am the 3rd-5th Grade Diverse Learners Teacher at Santiago. I am going into my 10th year in education this year and my third year as the diverse learners teacher. I have had a variety of classroom experiences in both the private and public school settings. I received my Bachelors and Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement from North Park University. I am originally from the warm and sunny state of California but have been in Chicago for 14 years.

 

I believe that every student can learn when they feel both seen and heard and can be met halfway.  What I enjoy the most is helping students build their confidence to feel and be the best learners that can be. What I appreciate about Santiago is the staff and the close relationships that you make with the students and their families. Cooking, long walks with my dog Bentley, Target runs, travel, and quality time with family and friends are what I enjoying doing in my spare time.
