My name is Ms. Dwight and I am the 3rd-5th Grade Diverse Learners Teacher at Santiago this year. I am going into my 9th year in education this year and excited to add 3rd grade to my role. Prior to Santiago, I taught kindergarten for a year in CPS at a school in Lawndale along with 4 years of teaching 3rd grade at a Catholic school. My teaching experience has also included co-teaching in a cluster program and a year of 2nd grade.

 

I am originally from the warm and sunny state of California but have been in Chicago for 13 years. I received my Bachelors and Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement from North Park University. Teaching students to recognize and develop their potential is something that I am passionate about and build upon in the classroom. 

 

Outside of the classroom, I love to cook, go on walks to the lakefront with my dog Bentley, adventure around Chicago, and travel.
