Ms. Buffurine - Academic Interventionist
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. My name is Ms. Buffurine and I am the Academic Interventionist at Santiago Elementary School. I am originally from Chicago but have lived in three different countries (Namibia, Mexico and Kuwait) before settling in Oak Park, Illinois in 2022. I love art, travelling and my French Bulldog named Lily Bean. I have worked in education for over 17 years as a teacher, administrator, and curriculum coordinator. I attended undergraduate college at Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in Elementary Education (2002). I received a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Curriculum and Instruction (2008) and a Masters degree from Concordia University Chicago in Administration and Supervision (2010).
This is my second year at Santiago Elementary School and I am very excited to be a part of such an amazing team. I will work with students in grades K - 8 in small groups or one-to-one. My goal is to support student growth and help students achieve their academic goals. Additionally, my goal for this year is to get students engaged in
I am looking forward to learning, growing, and blossoming together this school year!
